Is the Ducati Scrambler Ready to get Dirty?

Rumor has it that Ducati may be unveiling a rugged addition to their Scrambler line-up at the EICMA show to be held in Milan November 10 – 13, 2016.

Photos surfaced online which depict a Scrambler with an upside down fork and noticeable longer travel than the other models in the Scrambler line. The bike also appears to sport a larger wheel, an extra steel tube which has been added to the trellis (running horizontally between the front and rear engine mounting brackets) and a rear carrier and tubular frames on either side to allow panniers to be fitted, sparking speculation that Ducati may be set to release an 1,100cc Scrambler Enduro model.

Sean MacDonald of CycleWorld noted the”close cropped license plate guard is also gone, this time favoring a higher rear fender and more traditional license bracket mount,” a change which would render the model more mud-friendly than the swingarm-mounted license plate holder featured on the current Scrambler.
